1. Privacy at a Glance

General Information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. For detailed information on the subject of data protection, please refer to our privacy policy set out below this text.

Data Collection on This Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the legal notice (Impressum) of this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected, on the one hand, when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data you enter into a contact form or the click path.

Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website, by means of our IT systems. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time the page was accessed). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection at the address given in the legal notice.

Analytics Tools and Third-Party Tools

When you visit this website, your browsing behaviour may be statistically analysed. This is done primarily using so-called analytics programs.

Detailed information about these analytics programs can be found in the privacy policy below.

2. General Information and Mandatory Information

Data Protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information on the Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Germania Inkasso-Dienst GmbH & Co. KG
Managing Director: Dominik Knoblich
Hauptstraße 22
94469 Deggendorf

Phone: +49 (0) 991 37029 0
Email: info@germania-inkasso.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Storage Period

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion takes place once these grounds no longer apply.

Statutory Data Protection Officer

We have appointed a data protection officer for our company.

GERMANIA Inkasso-Dienst GmbH & Co. KG

Note on Data Transfer to the USA

Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated on our website. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is connected with such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged breach. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Email: rdg@bfj.bund.de

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, Deletion and Correction

Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data but you need it to assert, defend or exercise legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

Objection to Advertising Emails

The use of contact data published within the framework of the legal notice obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

3. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies was requested, the relevant cookies are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately about this within the framework of this privacy policy and, if applicable, request your consent.

Cookie Consent with Borlabs Cookie

Our website uses the cookie consent technology from Borlabs Cookie to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser and to document this in compliance with data protection law. The provider of this technology is Borlabs – Benjamin A. Bornschein, Georg-Wilhelm-Str. 17, 21107 Hamburg (hereinafter Borlabs).

When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are stored. This data is not passed on to the provider of Borlabs Cookie.

The collected data is stored until you ask us to delete it or until you delete the Borlabs cookie yourself, or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on the data processing of Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/

The Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact Form / Click Path

If you send us enquiries via the contact form or fill out our click path, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide there and the source type of your website visit (this applies exclusively to a visit via the Google search engine – in which case the search term of your Google search is also transmitted), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested.

The data you enter in the contact form or click path will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiry by Email, Phone or Fax

If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

4. Analytics Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, time spent, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data may be combined by Google into a profile that is assigned to the respective user or their device.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. If corresponding consent was requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. As a result, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services to the website operator relating to website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Storage Period

Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. User ID) or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after 14 months. Details on this can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available to Google (e.g. location data and interests) (audience targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analysing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.

Google Ads is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its services and products as effectively as possible.

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognise whether the user has carried out certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they carried out. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

Google Conversion Tracking is used on the basis of Art.

You can find more information on Google Conversion Tracking in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

LinkedIn Insights

On our website, we use the conversion tracking technology and the retargeting function of LinkedIn Corporation.

With the help of this technology, personalised advertisements can be shown to visitors of this website on LinkedIn and outside this website. It also creates the possibility of generating anonymous reports on the performance of the advertisements as well as information on website interaction. For this purpose, the LinkedIn Insight tag is integrated on this website, which establishes a connection to the LinkedIn server if you visit this website while also being logged into your LinkedIn account. In LinkedIn’s privacy policy you will find further information on data collection and data use as well as the options and rights for protecting your privacy. If you are logged into LinkedIn, you can adjust the data collection in your personal profile settings.

Use of SalesViewer® technology:

On this website, data is collected and stored using the SalesViewer® technology of SalesViewer® GmbH on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes.

For this purpose, a JavaScript-based code is used, which serves to collect company-related data and the corresponding use. The data collected with this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (so-called hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to personally identify the visitor of this website.

The data stored within the framework of SalesViewer is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future by clicking on this link https://www.salesviewer.com/opt-out to prevent collection by SalesViewer® within this website in the future. In doing so, an opt-out cookie for this website is placed on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click on this link again.

Use of Leadfeeder

On our website, we use the analytics tool Leadfeeder from Liidio Oy, a company based at Mikonkatu 17 C, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. This tool enables us to collect information about the visitors to our website.

Leadfeeder’s system works by identifying the IP addresses of companies. A special code on our website enables Leadfeeder to identify IP addresses of visitors that are associated with companies. These IP addresses are then matched against a worldwide database of companies and business information.

The data collected in this way is deleted after two years. Earlier deletion can be requested at support@leadfeeder.com. After deletion, the data remains in the system for up to seven days due to backup copies. Leadfeeder does not collect personal IP addresses or data from mobile devices, but only those that are assigned to companies.

In addition to company information, Leadfeeder also provides data on the date, the duration of the visit and the web pages visited by the user. Leadfeeder does not provide any information about specific, identifiable persons who visit our website, and does not use cookies to identify and track visitors.

Information about visitors who use dynamic IP addresses is not provided. The data provided by Leadfeeder enables us to create statistics on the visits to our website. We use this data to improve our website and measure its reach.

Further information can be found at https://www.leadfeeder.com/privacy/ and https://www.leadfeeder.com/leadfeeder-and-gdpr/. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the economic evaluation of the user data. The protectable interest of the data subjects does not prevail, as only company data is stored and personal data is deleted immediately.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter Data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you deposit with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you cancel the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Sendinblue

This website uses Sendinblue for sending newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.

Sendinblue is a service that can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is stored on Sendinblue’s servers in Germany.

Data Analysis by Sendinblue

With the help of Sendinblue, we are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked particularly often and were therefore particularly interesting to you.

We can also recognise whether certain previously defined actions were carried out after opening/clicking (conversion rate). For example, we can recognise whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.

Sendinblue also enables us to divide (“cluster”) the newsletter recipients into different categories. The newsletter recipients can be divided, for example, by age, gender or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.

If you do not wish to be analysed by Sendinblue, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link for this in every newsletter message.

For detailed information on the functions of Sendinblue, please refer to the following link:

https://de.sendinblue.com/newsletter-software/.

Legal Basis

The data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

Storage Period

The data you deposit with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you cancel the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

For further details, please refer to Sendinblue’s privacy policy at:

https://de.sendinblue.com/datenschutz-uebersicht/.

Conclusion of a Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded an agreement with Sendinblue in which we oblige Sendinblue to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

6. Plugins and Tools

YouTube with Enhanced Privacy

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the disclosure of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts.

Where applicable, further data processing operations may be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If corresponding consent was requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can find more information on data protection at YouTube in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

7. Audio and Video Conferencing

Data Processing

We use, among other things, online conferencing tools to communicate with our customers. The tools we use in detail are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conferencing tool.

The conferencing tools collect all data that you provide/use in order to use the tools (email address and/or your phone number). Furthermore, the conferencing tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other “context information” related to the communication process (metadata).

In addition, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle the online communication. This includes in particular IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker as well as the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within the tool, this is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes in particular cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared during the use of the service.

Please note that we do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our possibilities are largely governed by the company policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conferencing tools, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and Legal Bases

The conferencing tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves the general simplification and acceleration of communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Insofar as consent was requested, the relevant tools are used on the basis of this consent; the consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage Period

The data collected directly by us via the video and conferencing tools is deleted from our systems as soon as you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence over the storage period of your data stored by the operators of the conferencing tools for their own purposes. For details on this, please inform yourself directly with the operators of the conferencing tools.

Conferencing Tools Used

We use the following conferencing tools:

Zoom

We use Zoom. The provider of this service is Zoom Communications Inc., San Jose, 55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113, USA. For details on data processing, please refer to Zoom’s privacy policy: https://zoom.us/de-de/privacy.html.

Conclusion of a Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider of Zoom and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Zoom.

8. Own Services

Handling of Applicant Data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, by post or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected from you in the context of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data is treated strictly confidentially.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data is passed on within our company exclusively to persons involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data Retention Period

If we cannot make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data is then deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular evidentiary purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

A longer retention period may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
